Dale Christopher Lang, PhD, Architect, Planner

  • Bachelor of Architecture - California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo, California
  • Master of Architecture - CAUP, University of Washington, Seattle
  • Doctorate - Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, College of Education, University of Washington, Seattle
Dr. Lang utilizes active user input and participation in the school planning process to create relevant educational specifications. Flexible learning spaces, display of student work, welcoming, habitable environments for students and the community are normal outcomes of Dr. Lang's type of thinking and approach. Innovations such as these do not evolve because of popular trends but rather result from common sense approaches involving iterative discussions with school building users. Caring about appropriate teacher work and student learning environments is Dr. Lang's primary motivation when programming and planning schools.
